Accountability gives direstion

This day has been quite eye-opening in many ways.

One of the reasons is what I will write about in is space.

Honestly, after 5 years of beginning my working career, for the first time ever, I have some expectations to meet, some goals to achieve and some direction to sail in.

I couldn't believe the sense of focus it gives & the positivity it creates. The amount of tangible value that I can now create instills an amazing amount of confidence.

Extending this paradigm tonthe governance sector, one of the reasons why we are pathetic as a democracy is this lack of accountability.

For every function, defining a set of deliverables & making the key individuals accountable will help a long way in creating an efficient system. How I wish that day arrives soon!

Where is the hope?

We know that it looks like a decade of decay. The rupee is at its lowest. Corruption is the epitome of omnipresence. Certain factions are trying to tear the country further apart. States fighting for rivers. Not an iota of a nice thing.

Is that all? Are we finished yet?

I really dont't think so.

The hope is in those corners of the country where the sun shines, literally and in the minds of the people.

The hope is in our villages where every morning, a worker starts his day with the hope that he will get back home with some money and produce food for at least 10 families.

The hope is in those schools where the kids put up with lack of basic infrastructure and yet manage to learn to grow strong and wise.

The hope is in the eyes of those kids in art schools that burn with passion and the urge to leave an indelible mark in the pages of history with their beautiful creations.

The hope is in the hands of that sweeper in the city who wakes up hoping that his territory was the same way he left it after work the previous day.

The hope is in the minds of those law-abiding citizens who refuse to pay a bribe at any cost.

The hope is in the act of personalities like Durga who refuse to budge for any political pressures.

The hope is in the spirit of those umpteen youth that cry with louder voices at the India Gate demanding justice for a person that is actually a complete stranger.

There is a still a lot of hope left in a billion hearts. We will rock the World soon!

THE MODERN INDIAN YOUTH

What do I say about those who have this thing called "THE KILLER INSTINCT!". The whole country is a talent pool and they know what they are doing. The opportunities are well grabbed and the guys are really with a vision! It is actually a very good thing that the mother of all these extremely talented guys, India, has developed so rapidly in the last ten years and these guys have created history in every field. There are too many heroes everywhere that despite being unsung heroes they make their mark and their presence felt here and there covering all through the nation. But one thing that is commonly felt is that youth in the cities do much more than those in the rural parts of the country. But I don't second anybody who says something like that. I have been brought up in a city and all my life had no chance of knowing anything about people of my age in other parts of my country. But three years back when I joined college, I was put in an environment where people from all corners of the country converge and a multi-cultural society develops. That was when I could realize the power of youth in the country. There are a lot of baseless allegations on youth like they are spendthrifts, they are highly irresponsible, they have no aim in life and all that. But, I can say with full confidence that the youth today are really very different from what they seem to be in other's viewpoint. It was well said by someone that "There are actually three people in the same person:First, what the person perceives himself to be, second, what the others perceive him to be and the last is what he really is". SO, one is definitely different from what he looks like. Superficially, these allegations may seem to be right. But, profound study and analysis shows that the youth of the country are of really huge potential and they can reach any heights in life.

Analyzing the reasons behind why this sudden change came up, reveals so many things which half of the country may not be aware of. Indians basically have an affinity to mathematics since pre-historic times and this bonding has ceaselessly continued till date. So, now one may wonder what is the role of mathematics in one's life. But, a few would have by now guessed that life is governed by a lot of mathematics. Be it any time in life, there is definitely a great impact of mathematics in life. What determines the success of a person in life? His inherent potential, the resources that nourish him, the attitude of the person and the right mix of qualities or rather traits I would say. Potential is a very relative factor. It varies from person to person. So, there is not much to elaborate about it.

Resources are really a major criteria in determining the success in life. Today's youth enjoy the maximum amount of resources which the past generations never got. There is a very over-enthusiastic media that keeps the entire country alert with their sensible and senseless news 24X7. Then, there is the internet that keeps the world connected all the time. Above all, there are the elders in every single field who have really achieved and they are approachable. They are the biggest resources available but made the least use of barring a few cases. The senior scientists, musicians, engineers, doctors, educational experts, chefs, actors, politicians etc have really mammoth amount of experience and they serve as a big bank of knowledge. But, a very bitter fact that most of the youth fail to realize this brilliant opportunity at the right time and by the time they realize, it becomes already late. So, this is one area where the youth need to be a bit more awake. The senior people always feel happy to guide the younger generation and they try to give in their best to their juniors. Let the modern Indian youth not term something called "generation gap" and miss out the best part of the resources they get. The next parameter is related to this.

Attitude!!! The old-young friction arises mainly because of the attitude of both of them. But the old ones are what they are and cannot be changed. The youth are flexible and they can bend themselves in any way they want. But a lot of them refrain to do so mainly because of their attitude. Minor changes in attitude will really make them perform better in any field they are into.

The right mix of traits! Here comes the application of mathematics. There is one very interesting concept of proportion in mathematics and that is really important in every stage of life. The right amount of time for the right job makes a person go places. So, the youth are actually aware of this concept of proportion and they apply it really well in life and attain great heights.

There is everything in this country and its youth. As an ardent fan and follower of Vivekananda, I strongly believe in the country's youth and they will certainly make this country a much better place to live in.
